Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Onetela is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our own operations and in our supply chains. Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We expect the same standards from partners, suppliers, and contractors who work with us.

This statement is made voluntarily to demonstrate our values and practices. It may be updated annually or when our business or risk profile changes materially.

Our organisation

Onetela develops and delivers technology for identity verification, digital credentials, regulatory compliance, physical security intelligence, and cybersecurity. We work with cloud providers, hardware vendors, professional services firms, and specialised technology suppliers. The majority of our supply chain consists of professional and technology services in jurisdictions we assess as lower direct risk for labour exploitation, but we do not treat any category as zero risk.

Policies

Our internal code of conduct and supplier expectations reflect a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We require ethical treatment of workers, fair working conditions, and compliance with applicable labour laws. Suppliers engaged for material services are expected to confirm adherence to these principles and to notify us of any credible concerns.

Due diligence

We take a risk-based approach to supplier onboarding and review, considering the nature of services, geographic footprint, and industry sector. Where risks are identified, we may request additional assurances, contractual commitments, or remedial steps. We document concerns and actions taken. We do not knowingly engage suppliers that refuse to cooperate with reasonable enquiries related to modern slavery.

Reporting and remediation

Staff and suppliers are encouraged to report suspected violations through legal@onetela.io. We investigate credible reports and, where a supplier is implicated, seek timely remediation. If remediation is not possible or satisfactory, we will consider terminating the relationship.

Training and awareness

Relevant team members involved in procurement and vendor management receive guidance on recognising modern slavery risks and escalating concerns. We will expand training as our supplier base and geographic reach grow.
